Heralded by culture bible, Amelia's Magazine (2008) as 'the greatest indie shopping secret of modern times', Made In The Shade boutique shopping events showcase off-beat design, neo-craft and vintage lifestyle in Scotland. Combining friendly indie shopping with charming old-time touches, Made In The Shade visitors and vendors are treated to a swingin' vintage soundtrack, arts & entertainment, edibles & drinkables and public crafting. This ain't no humdrum craft fayre ma'am!  Uh-uh. This is the coolest time warp in town!

The first event of its kind in Scotland and one of few outside the creative hustle and cool-cat bustle of London Town, Made In The Shade launched at The Lighthouse, Glasgow in May 2008. Hosted by three creative indiepreneurs and vintage enthusiasts (Carrie Maclennan, Clare Nicolson & Suzanne Smith), Made In The Shade has quickly established itself as the indie shopping hub in Glasgow. 

This year the Made In The Shade Gals continue to manage a busy event calendar while working hard to further support creative talent via other Made In The Shade ventures.
